Die Gewinnerliste der 2016er ACM Awards ähnelte schon fast der Siegerliste der CMA-Awards, bis fast zum Ende hin. Chris Stapleton und Little Big Town räumten viele Preise ab, jedoch der große Preis für den Entertainer des Jahres ging an einen First-Timer.

“I was starting to think this wasn’t in the cards for me,”  sagte Jason Aldean in seiner Dankesrede. Es war sein einziger Gewinn, und dann gleich Entertainer des Jahres.

Moderiert wurde die Show von Luke Bryan und Dierks Bentley, der den vorangegangenen Co-Moderator Blake Shelton ersetzte.
